Job Title: Software Sales



We seek a salesperson who can lead new business development efforts for an exciting software startup within the Watsco Ventures innovation group. The business developer excels at identifying the right prospects, creating relationships, and closing the right opportunities. This is a broad role that will be on the ground floor of an innovative technology group in the $80 Billion US HVAC industry.



  • Reach out to customers proactively (phone, email, in person), developing relationships, and converting qualified prospects to customers.
  • Conduct demos and webinars of the software product and value proposition
  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives to drive awareness and qualified lead opportunities
  • Track your customer conversations, schedules, and tasks in our CRM
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to onboard and support customers
  • Gain expertise in the US residential HVAC industry, the operations of an HVAC contractor, and the software market for home service providers


Desired Skills/Background

  • Communicator – Great at communicating and presenting over the phone, in person, and to an audience.
  • Sales Experience – Some level of sales experience is important. Ideally selling to home service providers or contractors.
  • Growth Hacker Ethos – Thrives on testing new techniques and constantly improving tactics to deliver results.
  • Techie – Understands and enjoys working with — and learning — software and the latest CRM and sales technologies.


What work or educational experience is needed?

There are no set “years of experience” required. We’re much more interested in your attitude, skills, and your ability to deliver on objectives.

Having experience in a startup environment or a software company is a big plus and having direct HVAC or home services exposure is also beneficial.

Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Coconut Grove, FL



We are looking for an experienced Android developer, to join our mobile products team, and work with us to digitize our industry. You will build new applications, as well as add features to existing applications.



  • Design and build enterprise customer facing mobile applications for Android platform.
  • Collaborate with mobile development team to define, design, and develop new features.
  • Write unit tests to ensure robustness, usability, and general reliability.
  • Resolve bugs and improve application performance.
  • Continuously discover and evaluate new technologies to expand features and improve the mobile app user experience.


Technical Skills: 

  • Experience with Java programming language.
  • 3+ years of experience developing native mobile applications using Android Studio and SDK Tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Material Design and existing UI systems
  • Some experience with Reactive Programming for Android preferred.
  • Ability to work with and help define JSON/REST API data sources.
  • Basic experience and understanding of GIT version control systems.
  • Experience working with third-party libraries, frameworks, and APIs.
  • Experience writing unit test plans for Android/JUnit.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration.
  • Solid understanding of the agile software and mobile development life cycle

Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Coconut Grove, FL



We are actively seeking an experienced data analytics professional who can help us continue to disrupt the HVAC distribution market. You will lead existing projects, as well as looking for new ways to apply analytics to the business. This is a high visibility role, regularly interfacing with our President, CTO, Watsco executives, and business leaders across our subsidiaries and Ventures group.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science – advanced degrees preferred
  • Data evangelist – polished communication skills and the ability to present data and insights to non-technical audiences. There is a high degree of interface with business units, so this is critical.
  • 5+ years of professional experience. Hands-on with a high degree of expertise in data science tools, methods and environments (especially R and SQL)
  • 3+ years of experience leading data analytics projects
  • Experience with sensor data and the Internet of Things (IoT) is preferred, but not required
